For some people like myself, I mostly play for fun. If I happen to win that is great too. Can you all tell me which you do and why.

I have a pretty competative edge and I can't play any game or perform any sport for fun, so for me its all about winning - its still fun though

Well, I understand where you are coming from. But for some people they play to win because they do it for the money, and this is how they earn a living or extra cash. Does this apply to you, or do you play to win for the competition only.

I play to win and to make money. I love poker but I do play to make money at it.

Poker is only fun when I win. If I don't play to win then I shouldn't be playing. I play to win money and that is the fun part. :lol:

If you just play at free poker sites with no real money involved playing for fun is all you are really doing.

A little bit of both. You usually have fun when you're winning of course, I've hardly seen anyone throwing a celebration when they've lost quarter of a million bucks. Sure if you have nothing to lose or a free bankroll then it's always fun.

Right now it is for fun, but I guess I am really very interested in learning to play for cold hard cash. Otherwise I am not sure if I would really play. I just am really bad at it right now.
