Had a bad beat with Aces once again. I wasp laying a $1000 free roll who would have guessed it would happen there lol. Anyhow I had about 12k in chips after the break. Blinds are 400. I am in late position to guy limp in early I raise to 2400 which was almost twice the pot no antes in this poker room. Everyone folds except for one early limper. The flop is K56 rainbow. I make a standard bet of about 3k about half the pot. he reraises me to 6k. So I try to reason it out. I figure maybe he limped in with KQ suited or such and then called the raise. So I call the turn is a blank now I have most of my stack committed so I go ahead and go all in for the rest of my stack I think close to 3500 or so he calls. Well turns out he decided his pocket 5s were worth calling with preflop when someone bets the pot. He lucked out and hit his set. Maybe my thinking is wrong here but I wouldn’t make the call. Especially from a guy that hasn’t been playing a lot of hands which is me I stick to a tight aggressive style and Had not played many hands. Also he did not have a big stack like he could just afford to call and see if he could take me out. Our stacks were almost even. I guess next time play like a rookie and go all in preflop. Or actually go play in a poker tournament with a buy in lol. Sometimes you assume intelligence when there is none. I had another bad beat earlier on. I limped in with 66 and flopped a set. This guy calls all the way to the river pot sized bet to catch a straight wiht his pocket 8s. Then he told me the usual. I wouldn’t have done it if it was a real tournament but since its a freeroll I called and besides I been hitting lately. Bah how is that for poker theory I been hitting lately. Hey its free poker. All the standard BS. Just a reminder why I hate free online poker.

Wow that is a lot. I am sorry that your AA did not really help you with the hand. I have been watching and learning and paying attention to what others are saying about their hands and hopefully when I decide to play for money I will know what I am doing.
