Well guys I just want to give you an update on one of the most popular poker forums on the net. The 2+2 forum has lots of great posts, however don't try to post their with out reading the guidelines first. I made a post there asking some general advice and got the following helpful responses:
"Paragraphs are your friends." Great advice. My eyes are bleeding I am trying to help but don’t know what you want. Also good info. Another poster gave me this gem.

Hi guys I am looking to get some help with my $1 and $2 no limit cash game. I just started playing live and I am finding lots of swings in my game so far playing at cash 1/2 no limit games. First of all it maybe the card room. But people are raising preflop with 99 to 30 dollars or the same with K6 off in early position. I am buying in for 100 dollars and it seems you can even play with $100 in a game like this. I would think 50 times the blinds is an ok amount to sit down with. I am guessing its more like $300 on this 1/2 tables. Anyone here have advice on playing cash games? I want to have some better strategies. I do really well in poker tournament play. I have tried some of the same things in a cash game and I am finding its not working. These games have been mostly loose aggressive to sometimes loose passive. The overall theme is definitely loose. Its not unusual for 4 people to limp in then one guy makes it 15 and he gets 3 to 4 callers. What hand is a limping hand and then turn in to a 15 buck preflop raise hand? I understand pot odds so the last guy calling has the odds to call with most anything at this table. However you have guys sitting at the table playing 83 or 106 suited in early positions. Q5 after a preflop raise is a good hand too. So this is what I have been thinking. Tighten up extremely and just play pairs of 9s or better AK to AQ raise a little AJ limp and actually limp with any un paired hi cards for cheap even don’t raise much with AK. This seems so contradictory to my usual poker tournament play. But since raising wiht AK to AJ pre flop is designed to get you heads up or at most two callers and here you can raise to 10 bucks preflop and expect 4 callers minimum if not just all limpers calling you. Since these hands don’t do real well in multiway pots, I am thinking limp or raise small. So if I hit I have al little pot build If I don’t hit I can get out of the hand cheap. Since bluffing against 3 or 4 callers isn’t going to work most of the time these hands really have become hands that must hit if you don’t hit a top pair or serious draw get out. I am still raising 5 to 6 time the blinds with AK to Aq suited. Also I am playing more suited connectors when lots of limpers are coming in before me. It hasn’t paid off much so far I am down about 240. Hopefully that is just the swing. When I talk to most of these other guys they are down a grand or two in a 1\2 cash game. Any advice is appreciated. I just want to get better at playing cash games and I think I am doing the right thing. I think the deal is I am not sitting down with enough cash. Let me know what you guys think. I need some pointers
Way to welcome the new kid I guess. I was happy to see that one person actually took the time to reply without being rude or busting on me. I didn’t pos in an English lit forum but a poker forum lol. Hope the interaction gets better there because they do have some good info in the forum.
