I thought I would share with you guys the very first thing I ever read on poker strategy. I signed up for a newsletter form a guy called Roy Rounder. After getting several of the newsletters and using some of the advice in there I thought I would go ahead and by Roy Rounder’s E-book. I bought the book and it actually came with two companion e-books one was on poker math and the other was on chip tricks. Let me first review the e-book on poker strategy called Texas Holdem Secrets. The E-book being the first book I ever read on no limit Holdem strategy pointed me in the right direction. Now that I have read other books I find that particular e-book a good started but definitely not anything that holds any secrets. The book is written in plain terms, which is real nice when you are starting off. IF you are starting off learning about no limit Holdem I would recommend it, however if you have some time at the tables you may be wasting your money. The book has a real good grasp of the basic strategies of no limit poker. The book on poker math is actually very helpful it has a quick formula on figuring out percentages and such which has been very helpful. The book on chip tricks is ok too. It just introduces you to some of the basics. Over all my review of this e- book is a 4 out of 5 for beginners and maybe a 2 1/2 for advanced players. If you are an advanced poker player Sklansky's book the Advanced Theory of Poker is a better investment.
