Yep if you played long enough you know the river can be a saviour or killer in poker.

I was playing the other day and I had pocket 7's and raised, which was then called.

Flop comes 7QQ and I flopped the FH.

I checked and right away it's bet into. I figure they may have an AQ or KQ so I decide to raise. They go all in right away. Of course I have to call.

I show my full house and to my surprise they show JJ. I never would have expected an all in with JJ after I just raised his bet with a couple of Q's on the board.

So the turn comes and does nothing but I have a feeling I didn't do the river dance or pray to the river gods and they have something bad for me...

The river is a J and he takes the pot with the better FH.

Yes, from everything I have seen that is the case, and I have played with family to have it come to my rescue as well.
