I played in the Mens Club in Houston’s No limit Holdem poker tournament this Monday. This is the second time I have played in this tournament. Its a huge draw because it is a free poker tournament which offers a first price of a trip to Las Vegas and Second and third price get bar tabs at the Mens Club. The turn out has been pretty good somewhere around 120+ people. The first time I busted out pretty quick on a coin toss play. This time I got down to about 4 table which was about 30 people or so left. I finally busted out. The bad news was that there was cheating this time. Some asshole decided to shuffle chips to his friend. As hard as the tournament director their tried to get to the bottom of things it was tough. I did hear that they caught one of the cheaters and booted them from the game. I sure hope this will not happen again since this free poker tournament has been lots of fun and draws quite a crowd. I will definitely attend the next one. I hear one of the problems there is that there is no way to properly secure all the chips, which is part of what might have happened. I just hate to see people cheating in a free poker game.
