Starting
hands for winning Texas Holdem.
I think starting hand in poker are very vital to
long term poker profits. Lots of poker players seem to struggle with what
starting hands in poker they should stay with. Some of those questions very on
the poker room that you are in and the culture of poker players that
plays there. You will find different types of player everywhere however
especially in online poker room?s you will find different types of
players at different sites. A lot of this can be explained by the advertising of
the online poker room. Some will try to attract the fish (newbie poker players)
and others will try to attract more seasoned players. Depending on this your
starting hands may very. I will give you some examples of good starting hands.
When I am talking about poker starting hands I mean the 2 cards that you
are dealt before the flop. The question is which hand do you invest money in
before the flop. 7 2 is the worst hand in poker and sure it can be a monster if
you get lucky enough to hit a 7 and a 2 on the flop. However this does not make
it a good starting hand.
Below you will find poker starting hands that are
worth investing money in. Remember that this will vary depending on the poker
room but this list is basically a guideline no the rule. This also depends
whether you are being aggressive or tight.
Here are some of the monster starting hands in
Texas Holdem:
All your big pairs of course AA, KK, QQ, and JJ .
Ace King and Even Better AK suited are great
starting hands.
AQ, AJ, A10 to maybe A9 suited or unsuited
are good poker starting hands. A9 is not the best but it is a good hand
especially when there are less then 5 players left.
Next you would have KQ, KJ, K10 suited or unsuited.
These are decent starting poker hands unless you are under the gun if you are in
that position you want to only play pocket pairs maybe as low as 9 or
better and of course AK and AQ even AJ here can lead to
trouble but its playable.
Next you would have QJ, Q10 suited and
unsuited. Suited helps because you have flush draw possibilities.
Then we move on to J10 suited and unsuited
this starting hand is good for the straight draws and suited it has good flush
possibilities.
Next we have suited connectors or semi connectors.
These are good hidden hands. Here are a few examples of these. All these should
be played when suited. 67, 89, 10 8, 53 and so on Suited connectors are
cards that are connected and semi connectors are separated by one card. KQ
suited would also be a connector.
This basically covers all your good starting hands in
poker online and off. Now that being said You will also find yourself
playing hands that are not in this category because you are short on chips and
need to make a move or you are in the blinds. This is more of a guideline of
what good poker starting hands look like. And In poker all rules have to
be broken for you to become a successful player. That is the tricky part you
have to figure out when and where to break them and against what opponents. If
you have other poker starting hands that you would like to share please join our
